Illustrations were taken from a graphic novel, THE ARRIVAL by Shaun Tan, The students had to see, think & wonder about their respective illustrations.

    Well done Room 17! I loved how this was a collaborative writing project for recount. You talked in your groups about the pictures using the strategy "I see, I hear, I feel". Then you used descriptive language in paragraphs to create lovely pictures in my mind. Keep up your good work.
