TERM 3: WELCOME BACK

Image
Kia ora everyone We've had a great start to the week. The children have settled back into classroom routines & continuing with their learning. This week we've started Classdojo & thank you to all the parents who have responded. The students will be sharing their work over the coming weeks, so watch this space! As per Mr Moore's newsletter (these went home today), the students are writing a speech about their chosen topic. Please support them with the research they'll need to do at home. They will also be bringing home a Family Tree that will need to be completed so we can finish our digital pepeha/mihi mihi. Our class assembly is week 4 of this term, so we'll be starting on our rehearsals next week. We would love for you to come and celebrate our learning with us. I will be using this platform and Classdojo to keep you up to date with what's happening in Room 17. See you next Thursday at the StudentLed Conferences! Ka kite ano Mrs ...

HOW TO MAKE A FRIENDSHIP PIE

Procedural writing: by Jacob How to make a friendship pie Ingredients: One cup of trust Tsp of respect 2 cups generosity One cup of friendliness Tbl of kindness Tsp of courage One cup of honesty Tbl of mahi tahi Method: Preheat oven to 180 celsius Tip one cup of trust into a large mixing bowl and sprinkle a teaspoon of respect. Mix well until it starts to sparkle. Add one cup of generosity to the bowl. Not two. If you add it all at once the colour will become a dull red. Wait 15 mins until the generosity sinks into the batter. Now you can add the rest. Repeat this process. Tip one cup of friendliness into the bowl and mix for 5 mins. Through that time you'll also have to season the batter with kindness and courage. Pour all your honesty into the mixing bowl well for 5 mins Spray the cake pan and pour the mixture in. Bake in the oven for 30 mins Take out the pie and season it with mahi tahi. by Jacob
